Tonight I heard the Messiah at the Symphony.
Tonight I heard the promises sung.
Tonight I heard my Daddy singing all those bass parts.
Some music is indeed Soli Deo Gloria, To God Alone Be Glory.


What a beautiful tribute to a remarkable work of art and worship.
Where were you sitting? My parents and I, along with a friend from church, were about nine rows back, on the left aisle of the center section on the floor. My parents have attended for several years now, and it’s one of th high points of their Christmas season. They had planned to take two ladies from our church, but one had to drop out at the last minute and I ended up tagging along, and am so glad I did.

the messiah singing was always a community tradition at my church back in jersey. i haven’t quite found something to fill that void
