On the First Day of Christmas.

For me, the Incarnation is the place, if you will, where hope contends with
fear.  Not an antique doctrine at all, but reality – as ordinary as my
everyday struggles with fears great and small, as exalted as the hope that
allows me some measure of peace when I soldier on in the daily round.

I can’t seem to stray away this year from the notion, the theology, the philosophy, the practice, the hope that Christmas is indeed the greatest mashup ever sung!  So drinking a cup of tea and remembering Grandad as I eat a piece of pork pie on the first day of Christmas, here’s to singing both tracks in seamless harmony – or perhaps even simply singing in rhythm and in tune wouldn’t be a bad place to begin.
